NEW OILS - A stunning Tuberose, nicest I have ever
experienced, and a lovely Patchouli, distilled in copper,
sweet smooth, and completely iron free. A new Corsican
Helichrysum oil, because we were unable to buy as much as we
planned from our usual distiller. This new batch is, of course,
certified organic. It is distilled in a stainless steel still,
rather than the traditional copper. The newer version of the oil
has a different aroma, and lacks the greenish tint from the copper
still. Two new Lavender species, Lavandin Abrial, and
Lavender Mailette have arrived, as well as a new shipment of our
High Altitude Lavender.
Running Low: A heads up for those who love specific oils or
blends. Some products are running low and will not be restocked. If
this is something you have loved, or have been curious about, order
now while our supplies last.
- Spiked Ginger Lily
- Recovery Synergy and Anointing Oil
- Jonquil Absolute
- Sweet Fennel CO2
- Ginger CO2
- ORGANIC Rose Otto. Last year's organic crop from our
Bulgarian producer failed, and we were forced to restock with
his conventionally farmed oil. If you insist on the organically
grown, order quickly.
- Turkish Rose Otto. We are out of stock on the undiluted,
but still have some of the 10% dilution left.
- ORGANIC Rosemary Verbenon. We will be stocking a
non-organic USA produced version, but if you demand the organic,
please order it while our limited supply lasts.
Now is the time to order, if you have been craving any of the above.
Nature's Gift News: We have three new staff members. Detra,
our high school co-op student is amazing. She's a high school
senior, runs our mailroom, and works a second job on the weekends.
Focused and reliable, we're lucky to have her.
Jim, our only male, is going to film school at Watkins in Nashville
to become a director, though lately he's become very interested in
writing films. As well as packing orders, Jim helps T organize the
warehouse and screens incoming shipments for us. He checks new
aromalamps, etc as our quality control inspector.
Sadie is a talented artist. A painter, sculptor, musician, and
mother of two. You may see some of her work online at
http://www.fiddola.com. In high school she wrote a paper on
perfumes and how they're made. Her interest in aromatics goes back
a long way. Sadie's enthusiasm is contagious. She has already
started an Aromatherapy course, packs your orders, and assists
Denise in pouring oils and blends when the day's orders are
finished.
Courtney has left Nature's Gift. We wish her well in her future
endeavors.
Charity of the Month: Our January through March Charity of
the Quarter is
Heifer International. Help us help them feed the hungry. 2% of
our gross sales every Wednesday will be donated, and you may add our
own contribution through our shopping cart.
Speaking of Bird Flu (because everyone seems to be!)
No, I've not had a flu shot. I've NEVER had a flu
shot. I think being surrounded by the essential oils, as we are
here, tends to keep the really nasty viruses (virii?) and bacteria
away. We have recently had a run on ELEMI essential oil. Of
course, it's an immune stimulant. Other essential oils believed to
stimulate the immune system are Inula graveolens, the Sages,
Angelica Root, Bergamot, Lemon, Ledum and Black Spruce. It probably
would not do harm to diffuse some of the above on a regular basis.
You might also want to look at the listing of anti-viral essential
oils online at

CLIENT FEEDBACK:
Rosacea Treatment Gel
Mary Smink from Georgia recently wrote
Also, I would like to give you some feedback about the Rosacea
Treatment Gel. I have had problems for a couple of years now
with ocular rosacea -- dry, gritty, red eyes, both inside and
around the rims of my eyes and just under my eyelashes. Well,
about three weeks ago I used my
Aromaleigh
mineral eye shadow to line my eyes. But rather than mixing
the minerals with water as I had been doing, I mixed the
minerals with a drop of the rosacea treatment gel. As I said,
it has been about three weeks ago that I started doing this, and
I have had none, that\'s right, none, of the above problems.
It\'s as if the ocular part of my rosacea problem has just
disappeared!!!!! Thanks so much for a wonderful product.
MIRACLE OIL - We continue to get raves from users of this
healing blend of St. John's Wort infused oil and our special healing
essential oils.
Rebecca from Israel wrote of using it to heal training injuries.
"First of all I wanted to let you know about my experiences with
Marge's Miracle Oil. It
certainly eases the pain of my training injuries, and swelling goes
down much faster,
though for some reason bruises always fade very slowly on me. I
also gave some to
a boy in my dojo who has a lot of "growing pains", especially in his
knees - he's only
fourteen years old but already over 5 1/2 feet tall and about 200
lbs., mostly muscle
(!!) It took care of his latest knee pains overnight - amazing."
Stephanie, in Florida, gave her mother Anne a bottle during her knee
replacement surgery. Anne wrote the following:
How grateful I am that my
daughter Stephanie thought to give me a gift of your Miracle Oil
after I had knee replacement surgery. The oil was soothing and
reduced the heat emanating from my angry knee. I was delighted and
surprised to find that it made an appreciable difference and
recommended it to my cousin who had had bi-lateral total knee
replacement as well.
Thank you for your healing Miracle Oil.
Our Denise used it for the same reasons, and swears it helped
immensely.
And Miriam from Long Barn, CA writes:
was reading your site and
would like to share some uses of your essential oils that I have
found. I have made a blend of helichrysum, black pepper and lavender
in a base of virgin olive oil which I use for my arthritis and it is
amazing. The swelling in my fingers recedes, no pain and relieves
the stiffness. I LOVE YOUR HELICHRYSUM!!!! Another oil that I found
incredible is your inula graveolens. I sometimes suffer from acid
reflux and have found that rubbing some of the oil on the area where
I have discomfort,in a short period of time the pain is gone, no
nausea and better yet no drugs. Essential oils continue to amaze me.
Thank-you again for the wonderful quality of your oils, they are a
pleasure to work with.
My comment: I'd like to see Miriam try her blend in St.
John's Wort oil, rather than the pure olive oil. I think it will
intensify the effect amazingly. And I have NEVER heard of Inula
being used for Acid Reflux. I use it for dry coughs. I'll have to
make a note of her experience on the descriptive listing.
CO2 Combo:
"I've been using your C02 extract in my facial care
formulations for a few years now and my customers go ga-ga over the
skincare results they find. I'm sure it has something to do with
this extract. I love it, they love it, and please keep providing us
with this amazing product."

Baby Bottom Balm:
We just made a big batch of this because I have a new
Grand-daughter due to arrive at the end of this week. (Actually she
was due to arrive about 10 days ago; if she's not here by Friday the
doctor plans to "encourage" her a bit.) At any rate, Penelope
Cansler recently wrote:
I orderd a 4 oz jar of Baby Bottom Balm several weeks ago that I
was
planning to give to Jenni. But I smelled the balm's fragrance
(wonderful!) and kept that jar for myself! I've used it on an
area on
my hand that had some fissures from eczema and it healed them
nicely.
I showed Jenni's mom. Lorna, whom I work with, the balm and she
fell
in love with its fragrance too. The 4 oz jar of the balm on
last
week's order is for her!
A reminder - once the hot weather comes we will no longer be
able to ship our Shea Souffle or Baby Bottom Balm. Order enough now
to carry you through the summer months.
USEFUL WEBSITE:
One of our clients sent me this link. I use it every
time my gas tank starts to get low. Hope it proves helpful for some
of you.
- Just plug in your zip code and
it tells you which gas stations have the cheapest prices (and
the highest) on gas in your area.

Springtime gifts for the man in your life:
from an old newsletter:
Soothing-Cooling Aftershave Gel
1/2 cup aloe vera gel
2 oz. witch hazel extract (commercial, from the drug store)
1 tsp. glycerine
5 drops chamomile e.o.
2-3 drops peppermint e.o.
Add the glycerine to the witch hazel and slowly add the e.o.'s. Mix
in the
aloe gel, bottle. This is also nice for sunburn.
NOW instead of using the chamomile and peppermint, I would use
either Sandalwood, or our Reunite' synergy (Our men love it as a
cologne) and give with a bar of our Sandalwood or Reunite' soap.
Yummm. All our men should smell so good!
Cologne:
8 oz. vodka
1 tb. glycerine
40 drops (2 mls) essential oil or synergy
Mix well, steep 3 weeks, filter through a coffee filter, and bottle.
Aromatic quotes for
the season:
Love is the only flower that
grows and blossoms without the aid of the seasons.
- Kahil Gibran -
and
"Love is like a
beautiful flower which I may not touch, but whose fragrance makes
the garden a place of delight just the same"
- Helen Keller -
Have a wonderful March, everyone!
