leaves skin feeling fresh, soft, and glowing. And for those either
with oily skin, or with skin even too sensitive for our Creme Cleanser,
we have found the gentlest botanical deep cleanser any of us have ever
experienced. See our Ultra Mild Foaming Cleanser and our new

Carrier Oils - Emollients
Our long awaited Organic Argan Oil has finally arrived from Morocco!
And, at long last, the weather has cooled off enough for us to be able
to ship our beloved Shea Soufflé, and our
soft, creamy DELICIOUS Virgin Coconut Cream Oil. (We've found a new
source...the new version is organically produced, and much less
expensive than last years!)

BLENDS and IDEAS shared by our Clients:
PMS and Insomnia:
Paula Tillen recently wrote:
Also wanted to say, have been using "sleepytime"+
a drop of red mandarine in my bedroom diffuser to assist with those
difficult PMS nights- I believe it helps, and even if it doesn't,
boy does the bedroom ever smell good!
Again, many thanks for your wonderful work!
We thank her for sharing!!!
Crystal Deodorant:
Karla Michel wrote awhile ago:
I forgot to tell you the other good use for Hi Alt
Lavender! You know the crystal deodorant? I get the liquid and the
spray and put the Hi Alt in it as well as add it to Coconut Oil (the
kind that's solid @ room temp) and apply that first (coconut is
supposed to combat body odor and it does make a difference applying
it first, then the liquid crystal and someone asked me what I was
wearing because I smelled good! When I told them just lavender oil
they said well it's a really good one, you can tell by the way it
smells! So I hope you never discontinue that one!!!!!
Karla will be glad to see the Lavender is FINALLY back in stock!
Herbal Moth Remedy:
from P. Allen Smith's
Gardening newsletter a long time ago:
Herbal Moth Repellent
One of the best uses I've found for herbs is a safe and inexpensive
way to deal with ordinary household pests, like moths. It's
inexpensive because herbs can be found just about anywhere these
days, and it's safe because they're all natural.
We all know the damage that moths can do and for years the standard
defense against them has been mothballs. But have you ever read one
of their warning labels? They say things like, "avoid prolonged
breathing of the vapors." Well if I'm going to breathe something, I
want it to be natural. So how about a recipe that blends the leaves
and flowers of herbs with essential oils to keep moths on the run?
This recipe calls for one ounce of wormwood or artemisia, four
ounces of lavender flowers and two ounces of rosemary leaves, all
blended together. You can dry these herbs yourself or you can find
them already dried at a health food store.
Now if you think they smell good dried, just wait until you add the
essential oils. These are applied by the drop. I'm adding thirty
drops of lavender, five drops of rosemary oil and five drops of
vetiver. By the way, vetiver is a strong smelling extract from a
grass grown in India.
Once you get it blended together, you can make a sachet or put a
bowl of it on a shelf in your closet.
It's not really the moths that do the damage, it's their larvae, and
you can't see them. But if you think you have them in your clothes,
pop them in the dryer and the heat will kill the eggs and the
larvae. This is a safe and pleasant alternative to chemical
repellents.
Aromatherapy Research
A client is doing some research in using the oils for respiratory
problems. He recently wrote:
"On another note, I'm using your Peppermint for my
research study. I'm measuring changes in lung capacity (FVC) pre and
post inhalation of peppermint oil. I'm seeing an average increase of
7-10% after only 5 minutes of inhalation. I've tested 15 people so
far. Only 2 had decreases in lung volume exhaled so far. Maybe they
were allergic?"
Interesting - I know that Peppermint is great for headaches, and aids
with sinus problems (one of the ingredients in our SineEase Synergy) but
I'd not have thought of it for bronchial or lung problems!
Anecdote: In the interview we did for GLEE magazine, Joanne
Eglash, contributing writer, said that inhaling Peppermint Oil helps her
maintain a healthy diet by easing food cravings.

Rose Shower Gel:
Debbie Morey recently wrote:
"I have to tell you, when I first received that gel, I
was certain that there
was heroin or something in it--it was so addicting and I just couldn't
take
enough showers with it! ;-) I must've really needed the nurturing and
balancing that Rose provides!
The texture of the shower gel is wonderful, too, especially when
compared to
other natural liquid soaps. You and your team are definitely masters of
the
art in the realm of aromatherapy products--and I appreciate you all so
much!
I've learned an abundance from your website--thank you for all the
information you provide!"
Sri Lanka Sandalwood
We sent TigerFlag's natural perfumer, Siri Amrit,
www.tigerflag.com
a sample of our new Sri Lanka Sandalwood. (It's probably evil to tempt
people that way!) She ordered lots and lots of it...and later

High praise from an expert! Thank you both for allowing us to

For our third quarter charity this year we
have chosen Women For Women
Women for
Women International mobilizes women to change their lives by bringing a
holistic approach to addressing the unique needs of women in conflict
and post-conflict environments.
We begin by
working with women who may have lost everything in conflict and often
have nowhere else to turn. Participation in our one-year program
launches women on a journey from victim to survivor to active citizen.
We identify services to support graduates of the program as they
continue to strive for greater social, economic and political
participation in their communities. ...
Women for
Women International believes that establishing a means to earn a
sustainable living is critical to being fully active in the life of a
family, community and country. To help women transform their new skills
into financial independence and sustainability, we offer Job Skill
trainings to strengthen women’s existing skills and to introduce new
skills in traditional and non-traditional fields so women can access
future employment opportunities.
