Nature's Gift September Clearance AND 15 on the 15th!

When my children were growing up they had some "double books"... open it HERE and read this story.  Flip it upside down and find a totally different story book. I wish I could do a "double sided" newsletter since we are announcing BOTH an after Labor Day Clearance Sale AND our 15 on the 15th sale.

This newsletter contains:

  • Fifteen on the Fifteenth Sale Announcement
  • After Labor Day Clearance
  • Blog updates and other news
  • Client Feedback and Suggestions
  • Aromatic Quote of the Month

Enjoy!

Fifteen on the Fifteenth!

This month, in ongoing celebration of our fifteenth year online, we are offering 15% off our Aromatherapy Jewelry, and our in stock Hydrosols.  On Wednesday, September 15th,  enter the promotional code "fifteen" in the box marked Discount/promotion" at checkout, press "apply" and you will see your 15% discount on the above items reflected on your monitor. If you don't see the discount, please go back and reapply, because we will not be able to apply it retroactively. Also,  if we have to make any manual changes to your order... ie,  you gave us the wrong address, or you want to add items after the fact; the discount will be voided. The only way we can off these discounts is if the system is totally automated.  Place the order, pay online, and make our lives easier. thank you...    I know some friends who have been saving for another amulet - Wednesday is the day to order, either for yourself, or early holiday shopping.

AFTER LABOR DAY CLEARANCE

BLOG UPDATES:

We've been blogging up a storm during July and August!

Our Facebook Friends have already seen most of the above, since they automagically "port over" to our Facebook page. But they stay on our blog for historical interest.

I don't normally reference other writer's blogs.  But today a friend sent me a link to one that tickled me.  Kimberly had asked a week or so ago for suggestions for Stress Relief... I suggested some of our blends, but said first she should try Cape Chamomile, all by itself.  The following wonderful description of the sorts of stress many of us encounter was the result.  Oh...she also raved about the Cape Chamomile, so perhaps I should have put this in the "Our clients say" section of the newsletter!

OUR CLIENTS SAY:

Frankincense:

My friend Wendy Ashmun sent me a link to the following article about Frankincense.  Which reminded me.  Last June, I listened in an AIA Teleconference presented by Dr. Raphael d'Angelo, in which he shared some of the many ways he uses these healing oils in his medical practice. (Little did I know that I was fated to be the next presenter, but that's a story for another day.)  At any rate, Dr. d'Angelo mentioned using Frankincense oil on tumors of the skin...   scaly spots on back of hands, forearms, ridge of the ears,  on face...  "actinic kerotoses"  which could go on to become skin cancer.  This caught me attention because I had developed a dark brown scaly 'spot' on my jawline, just under my ear. Had asked my doctor because we are always told "any change in a wart or mole" and this was new. I didn't LIKE it.  My doctor said it was an actinic kerotosis and not to worry about it.  And so Dr. D'Angelo's comments just leapt out at me.  I started putting a drop of Frankincense on the 'thang' on my jaw.  Within three weeks it was gone.  Now, do I recommend that you do what I did?  Of course not. We aren't doctors; we neither diagnose nor prescribe.  And everyone knows that these oils of ours are just pretty smells, right?   dr. D'Angelo mentioned other oils as having anti-tumour capabilities, as well:  Fragonia, Kunzea, Lemon, and Myrrh...but it was the Frankincense that I reached for.

He also mentioned, in passing, that Australian Blue Cypress is similar to Australian Tea Tree oil in antibacterial activity, but is a more powerful antiviral.  I need to add that to our description of the Blue Cypress.

Traditional Golden Shea Butter:

My old friend and mentor Sylla Shepard Hanger, founder of The Atlantic Institute of Aromatherapy and of the United Aromatherapy Effort recently wrote asking for larger than our standard quantities of our Golden Shea. We quoted and shipped her five lbs... her comment:

I love it, its all I use now for bodywork (and my own skin), nothing else does what it does for glide without slip, doesn’t take much either, washes right out of sheets too

I am so used to recommending Fractionated Coconut for Massage I hadn't thought of the Golden Shea... perhaps you hadn't either!

Comparing Quality:

Joan Stirlen, nurse aromatherapist, gave me permission to share this part of an ongoing conversation:

Hi Marge,
I just had to share with you what has transpired over the last few months with a friend of mine.  She introduced me to essential oils.  She has been using Young Living oils for over 10 years. She is a massage and myofascial release therapist.  I started out as a client and we became friends. As I became more interested in the oils I kept asking about other sources besides YL and MLM.  She was unswayable about using other oils. I eventually became a distributor and used YL, but still was on "the search" as I called it.   We both took a certification course together (Laraine Kyle's in fact), and have enjoyed learning about blending.  My friend has a gift with oils and their uses.  In my search for oils that were accessible to people without MLM I found your website.  I asked you questions, which you graciously and kindly answered.  I found your oil descriptions and testimonials compelling at the very least and often enticing and persuasive. I have used your oils and was pleased with the results and even did a comparison blend of my best selling blend with your oils and YL and my customers cannot tell the difference.  I kept asking my friend to "check out Nature's Gift... tell me what you think".  Finally this year she did, due to my persistence she said.   I was at her office the other day and saw all these Nature's Gift bottles taking up space where YL oils had been.  She told me she really likes your oils and has been using them and has been pleased with the results.  She had to adjust to the difference in aromas compared to YL, but knows it is results of vendors, conditons, etc.  But this friend was absolutely not willing to try any other oils, but when she finally tried yours... well, a conversion has been made!
Thank you for all your website and your company offers.  I hav grown as an aromatherapist by the journey and results and the fellowship of those on the same journey, and along the way I met you and Nature's Gift.
Heartfully,

Joan Stirlen

I don't have words to describe how much that message from Joan meant.....

AROMATIC QUOTES OF THE MONTH

Distillation is in itself a simple natural phenomenon. When you look above your head and see clouds in the sky, these are but evaporation visible shape.
And when you walk at dawn on grass dew, it is on Night's condensate."
