We start the month of May with a sale on our favorite Springtime floral oils.  Neroli, Rose Absolute, our new Golden Champa, Ylangylang Complete, and our most floral Lavender - Organic French Lavender Mailette.  All are at 10% off on our Specials page.  We've added our most floral synergies (Comfort in the Storm and Carnation Memories), Rose Hydrosol (the classic floral water) and even our three floral Amphoras (to hold your favorite floral oil?).  All are at 10% off their normal retail pricing but only if ordered through our specials page.

We also have two new, more casual Amphoras, available both on the new and special page and on our Aromatherapy Jewelry page. 

BRAND new to us is Vitex Hydrosol.  We know how effective Vitex Berry essential oil is in helping women deal with PMS and with menopausal symptoms.  Early reports indicate that the hydrosol, a safer and gentler distillate, is equally helpful.

I have always used dead sea salts and essential oils when I take a bath, but I tried the Rose Bliss Bath  and I have to tell you it was like I was enveloped in SILK!!! For her car

• (I normally add both Mimosa Wax and Rose Wax to the soap, to further enrich the scent, so perhaps adding just a touch of Cassie Absolute and Rose Absolute would bring it closer to the original.) 

Joyful Abandon   

• YlangYlang One            4 parts
• Indian Vetiver                2 parts
• Cinnamon Leaf               1 part
• Ambrette Seed              1 part

That should be enough perfumery to keep us all experimenting for awhile!

I accidentally stumbled on something that smells absolutely wonderful and is
emotionally healing at the same time!
My 13 year old daughter can be quite grumpy around her monthly cycle.  When I
received my latest order I was looking to make up a blend to help her...well,
I found it! It may not have been the best cramp formula, but her emotions
have calmed considerably with the use of this blend. Marissa has never been this
pleasant in the mornings. I am in awe, truly!
5 drops clary sage
2 drops jasmine sambac
4 drops geranium
8 drops lavender
2 drops fennel
3 drops vanilla bourbon
2 drops violet leaf
6 drops ylang ylang
Blended in 15ml of the fractionated coconut oil,

I  rubbed it on her abdomen and chest.
This is a beautiful scented blend, I am rubbing it on myself and can't stop
smelling my arms! It seems to hold together for several hours too, so it works
as a perfume.
You simply must try this!

My comment - Margie, thanks so much for sharing.  This blend sounds just a bit strong for topical use in only 1/2 ounce of carrier.  I suspect that it would be equally effective in one or two ounces of carrier.   Aromatically, it sounds delightful!

Another client, who asked to remain anonymous, shared her favorite "child's play" synergy.  Since two out of the three oils are on sale this month, this is definitely the time to try it.

Child's Play
3 Mandarine Red
4 Ylang- Ylang Complete
3 Lavender Mailette

And John Kerr, editor of Aromatherapy Today magazine, shared three blends based on Ylangylang.  I loved them all!

The first is a very simple ROMANCE blend:

equal parts Sandalwood, Ylangylang and sweet orange.

the second is an oily skin blend:

Pink grapefruit, Steam distilled lime, ylangylang  in equal parts.  (note, because the pink grapefruit is a mild photosensitizer, I would avoid using this when exposing the face to sunlight or ultra violet light.

and the third is a diffuser, bath or massage blend, designed for emotional balance and calming.

2 parts each.. ylangylang, bergamot, sweet orange and 1 part vetiver.

(I have tried this last one, using our Ylangylang Complete, Bergamot FCF, Blood Orange and El Salvador Vetiver.  All I can say is I wish I had thought of it first!)
