A selection of new Aromatherapy
Jewelry by a talented new artist. The following four new lampwork amphoras all have
16" -
18" neck cords of black Greek leather, with sterling clasps. They are
created from imported glass (mostly Italian) and kiln annealed for
durability. They only *look* fragile! Each has a
spiral shaped silver dauber, which makes them perfect wearble perfume
bottles for our anointing oils or dilutions - anything that is skinsafe
and ready to apply.
The pictures are representative, as individual works of art, each
will vary slightly. All are delightful. We are packaging
each Amphora in a small decorative bag, and including a mini-pipette for
adding your chosen oil or blend. |

Rose Quartz Amphora
Similar in size to the necklace
above, but in a delightful rosy purple shade. Reminds me of some
of my favorite crystals. If you could form a soap bubble out of a rose
quartz gem, you might create this magical piece of art. Upon
opening them, one of us said "it looks like Faerie Glass, Christi's
comment was "It's magical!")

Rosy Frit Amphora
I saw the wonderful colors in this wee one
and knew we had to have it. I've seen the term "Frit" used before
to describe bead and glass work, but had no concept of what it meant.
According to Wikipedia:
Glass is crushed, graded according to size, and melted onto other
glass to produce patterns and color. A common method of application is
to roll the hot glass, hollow or solid, in frit. It can be sprinkled on
to the pieces, or poured on the inside of a tube.
Ah... using crushed glass of different colors... that explains
the rainbow hues. At any rate, it's gorgeous!

Seaglass Swirl
Maryanne, the artist who created these wee beauties
for us calls this finish "sun and clouds" but it reminds me so
strongly of Sea Glass I've renamed it. Delicate wisps and
threads with an inner glow reminiscent of moonstone or opal.
Each one is different; all are miniature gems. We've strung them on
a waxed cotton cord, ready to wear.

We've just discovered a new collection of "Wearable Aromatherapy."
Amulets - carved from semiprecious stones, hollowed and with a
wooden wick inserted to allow two or three drops of your favorite
undiluted oil or blend. All come with a 23" leather cord. All
introductory priced at $35.00. The amulets all come packaged in
the attractive box shown in the picture. The glass vial contains
three replacement wooden "wicks" for changing the oil or blend. (I'd
suggest, if you are changing what you choose to wear in it, cleaning
the inside with some alcohol. Best way we know to remove traces of
essential oil or absolute.) The artist who provides these
suggests that you retain the three wicks and use for different
'categories' of oils, ie, one for citrus, one for florals, etc.

I wear a lot of light green Jade jewelry, and find that this

Tiger Eye
These are lovely brown and black stones, with threads of gold veins
throughout.
Tiger Eye is reputed to strengthen convictions and promote creativity
and new ideas. (I have a tigereye necklace that somehow has always
represented Nature's Gift to me...it's a "work stone"... and so much I
have to do here has to do with coming up with fresh ideas. Whoda thunk!)
It is also said to provide relief from several chronic physical
conditions, including bronchial asthma and high blood pressure.

Rose Quartz
We received one of these as a sample, and I claimed it for my
own. Delicately colored (I was reminded by the creator that they add
no color to their gemstones, and that much Rose Quartz on the
commercial market is artificially colored...who knew?) These gems
range from a very pale pink to an milky offwhite.
Rose Quartz is said to be the stone
of unconditional love. It opens the heart chakra to all forms of
love: self love, family love, platonic love and romantic love. Rose
Quartz has excellent protection energies during pregnancy and
childbirth. The elevated energy of Quartz gives Rose Quartz the
property of enhancing love in virtually any situation. It also
brings forgiveness, gentleness and tolerance. It is also said to
ease overwhelming or unreasonable feelings of guilt and self blame.
Please note that because of the
extremely fragile nature of Rose Quartz, the process of drilling the
amulet may cause tiny flaws in the edges of the cylinder. These are
characteristic of this particular piece.

New AMETHYST Amulet
Shades of violet and purple, with touches of brown or white marble
this healing stone.
Traditionally Amethyst is said to have prolific healing powers which
can be characterized as purifying, pacifying and transitional. Amethyst
has the ability to transform lower energies into higher and acts as a
healer at all levels of mind, body and spirit. The healing powers of
