Favorite Aromatherapy Resources

AROMAWEB
is a wonderful noncommercial resource. Wendy, the webmaster, has provided recipes, links, a space to evaluate vendors you enjoy, all sorts of great information!.
The AGORA project the Aromatherapy Global Online Research Archives is a cooperative effort of over eighty of us from throughout the world. This is its home page, with links to cooperating sites worldwide.
A huge Spreadsheet of Oil Characteristics is available for download at Andy
Barston's site. (I'd love to offer it here!)
The
Boston Jojoba Company is the source for our natural, organic Jojoba Oil.
If you are buying in large quantities, or seeking more information about uses of
this wonderful carrier, they are your source. We have been dealing with
them for years, and have always been pleased with their quality and service.
Deena Gentle at Gentle Ridge Farms is my source for Emu Oil. She has scads of information about this healing NONvegetable carrier oil, and is my source for this ingredient in many healing lotions, salves, etc. Well worth checking out.
Aromatherapist Kristen Leigh Bell, of
AromaLeigh, produces my favorite line of all natural Mineral Makeup, as well
as a line of aromatic skincare products for those who don't care to make their
own goodies with our ingredients.
I have extremely sensitive skin, and most
makeups (especially foundations and other liquid products) give me dermatitis
after a few uses. Kristen's mineral makeup allows me to play with no ill
effects. She offers a wide range of foundations to suit every skin tone,
as well as blushes, eye makeup, lip gloss - everything you need for daytime or
evening glamour. Make sure you order samples to find your best shades.
TRAVEL
- for those longing to see the source of some of these luxury aromatics, or
just to indulge and nurture your wanderlust, there can be no better tour guide
than my friends Jim Llewellyn and Robbi Zeck pf
AromaTours. I'm
saving my pennies for their Aromatherapy Retreat in Provence, although I am so
very tempted by the woman's retreat in Bali. It seems that whenever I have
the money for the trip we are too busy for me to leave; when there is time to
go, the funds are scarce. Perhaps in 2006?.
SKINCARE -
Eve Stahl, from Garden of Eve is
a long time client of ours. We knew she used our essential oils and hydrosols
in her business, but that was all we knew until recently. Eve finally has put
her wonderful products online at the above website.
Now, I have what my dermatologist calls "angry skin"...ie, it reacts to almost
anything I put on it. Most cosmetic creams and lotions cause dreadful
reactions. Eve recently sent us generous samples of her "Wise Woman" skin care
system. Facial Cleanse or Mask (a powdered cleanser that may be used either
way), Cleansing Nectar, a gentle wash off lotion cleanser, a wonderful toner
composed of some of my favorite hydrosols, an emollient face cream that
contains some SERIOUS "fountain of youth" goodies, and a "rejuvenating eye
cream".
Now, I KNOW the quality of the ingredients that Eve uses. We ship them to her.
I don't understand some of the techniques that made this and that ingredient
magically transform into something much more wonderful than the ingredients she
started with. But I love the results I am seeing!
Garden of Eve also offers a line of
skincare for acne, and for rosacea, as well as custom blending to suit your
individual needs.
