Extra Virgin Coconut Cream Oil - Bail Jar
Cocos Nucifera, Cold Pressed from the Cream of the Coconut, Solvent Free and organically produced.
Packaged in a 16 fl oz Bail Jar.
"The Scent of the Tropics"
Marge got this in for a personal project, and once we tried it we know we had to share! This wonderful white cream is grown and hand produced by women in a small village on the eastern coast of Africa. It smells just like a freshly grated coconut. Courtney says it reminds her of the Girl Scout cookies, Samoas. It can be used in soap or lip balms, but it''s great all by itself. It immediately liquifies and soaks in when applied to the skin. A delightful moisturizer and conditioner for skin and hair.
Because the Virgin Coconut Oil is so very soft, it is melting during summer shipment. So we are only able to offer it during the cooler weather.

Cocoa Butter SPECIAL
Net Weight 4 oz.
Rich and creamy and redolent of the chocolate that is its source, Cocoa Butter is the ultimate tan enhancer or skin conditioner for a pregnant tummy. A trifle firmer at room temperature than our Shea Butter, we recommend melting and adding a bit of your favorite carrier oil to soften. Blend with a few drops of mandarine and neroli for an absolutely wonderful "Belly Balm" for the mother to be.

Rose Bliss SPECIAL
The most Blissful Bath we have ever experienced.
There''s a story behind the development of this new product. Some of you know that 2002 was a difficult year for us, on a personal level. We mourned the loss of dear ones, and I personally was left bereft. Days were busy, and okay, but once I came home from work, the nights were so very empty and lonely. I knew I had to do some things to nurture and take care of myself, of my spirit. One of these things became a nightly ritual...a warm bath, beeswax candles, soft music, and rose oil in my bath, because our pure Bulgarian Rose Otto nourishes a woman''s spirit, as well as her skin. Bath salts weren''t the answer for me...my more than mature skin finds salts too drying. I needed a bath oil, but they float on top of the water and feel greasy, not soft and nourishing.
I experimented with a friends formula for a "blooming bath powder"...and thus our Bliss Bath was borne. A container of powder, each wee bit moistened with nourishing, rich Jojoba oil, with my beloved Rose Oil added with a generous hand. Add a scant scoop of this magical stuff to the tub as it fills...the powder dissolves, dispersing the moisturizing jojoba, and the silkysoft powder throughout the water, so that every inch of your skin is caressed with its silken touch. The Rose Oil soothes and nurtures both the skin and the spirit. You leave the bath with your skin feeling soft and silky, your spirit rested and restored. The soft scent of roses surrounds you.
This featherlight powdered balm is tightly packed in a PET bail jar (for safety), so you can securely seal it to keep moisture out, and presented with a one tablespoon measuring scoop. We are legally required to sell it by weight, and I''m embarrased to admit that it weighs only 2 and 1/2 ounces. But it measures a full 16 ounces by volume by the time we finish packing it. One container will give you between 15 and 30 blissful baths, depending on how extravagant you are with it.
We debated whether or not to offer this product. It''s costly, when the supermarket is filled with $2.98 bottles of bath oil. But every woman who sampled it begged for more. Two young women, not Rose Oil lovers, emailed me that it was a "Four Star!!!", those who love Rose want to stay in the tub all evening, and one husband wrote the following glowing review:
"Nature''s Gift Bliss Bath caresses her body, leaving her skin soft and silky smooth. Enjoy a relaxing soak in Nature''s Gift Bliss Bath before your next romantic interlude. Entice and delight your mate with the velvety touch of your supple skin."
Now, folks, I didn''t design this as an aphrodisiac...I designed it to make ME feel better. But who am I to argue with this nice young man.

Coconut, Fractionated SPECIAL
Cocos nucifera 4 fl oz
Contains (unrefined) 50% lauric acid. Refined coconut oil, according to Sheppard-Hanger, is closest substance to human sub-cutaneous fat and more compatible with skin than vegetable oils. She states that it has a vertually unlimited shelflife, since it can not turn rancid, and that it can not clog pores, making it an ideal carrier for oily or troubled skin.
However, Shirley Price points out that fractionated (or refined) coconut oil is produced by heat, rather than cold pressing, and is usually deodorized since it''s natural odor is overwhelming, and asks if we really want to use a fractionated oil in aromatherapy, since it is not a complete product.
My *personal* opinion on the above is "it depends." I vastly prefer a "natural" oil, and yet under some conditions the use of a ''totally natural'' carrier can compound the problem. ie, if applying EO''s to severely damaged skin, a totally natural carrier could also introduce fungi, molds, or bacteria to the skin as well. Using a refined and sterilized carrier under these conditions could prevent further problems. I have personally used it as a carrier for skin conditions that had proven resistant to any earlier treatment. I also think its "light" texture will make it a wonderful "summer use" oil, when the richer, heavier oils seem too sticky on the skin. It also will wash out of sheets, towels, etc. much more easily than most carrier oils making it a boon to the massage therapist.
Uses: dryness, itching, sensitive skin, tanning aid. Use as base or 10-50% additive. Adding to Sweet Almond Oil increases both shelf life and washability.

Cade Essential Oil
Juniperus oxycedrus, Certified Organic, Hydrodistilled from branches and twigs, in France. For years we've avoided importing Cade Oil because most of it is produced by destructive distillation and contains known carcinogens. At a recent conference Rhiannon Harris mentioned the use of Cade Oil in aiding with the management of Psoriasis. She stated that it has been shown to reduce the proliferation of keratinocytes...the overgrowth of which is one of the causes of psoriasis. Recent investigations show that the distilled oil inhibits ceratinocyte proliferation and is also anti-inflammatory. Based on this, it would appear that Cade Oil, diluted in one of the anti-psoriasis fixed oils might be well worth trying in treating psoriasis. I have also seen Cade Oil recommended as a treatment for dandruff, and for seborrhea dermatitis. Quantities limited.
