English Lavender
15 mls Lavendula angustifolia, grown and distilled in the United Kingdom by a master distiller. Ethically farmed, sweet and slightly spicy. This is the lavender the old herbals wrote about...a touch of history. We fell in love with this one months ago when we received a sample, had to wait for other products to be ready.

Lemon Thyme Essential Oil
Thymus citriodorus (sometimes called Thyme Essential Oil, ct. citral) Organically grown and distilled by an artisan distiller in the USA. Wonderful light, fresh lemon aroma. Gentler than the more traditional thymus vulgaris and richer in citral (which gives it the clear bright lemony scent.) Believed to be antibacterial, anti-infectious, soothing for digestive upsets, and to help loosen tight dry coughs. I have seen Lemon Thyme, in a diffuser, recommended for easing asthma or bronchial problems with children. Many of the respiratory oils are stimulating, this relaxing oil has mildly sedative properties so would be wonderful in a night-time respiratory blend. I'd like to try blending it with the Ginger CO2 above for nausea. Supplies are very limited.

Lavandin Abrial
Lavendula hyrbrid Abrialis Organic, French, Steam Distilled Blossoms
Lavandin Abrial also has a significant amount of camphor and 1 8 Cineole, making it both an effective mucolytic and expectorant as well as antibacterial. It is much gentler than Spike Lavender, which has the similar effects, and thus more appropriate for diffusion with children. Abrial's specific components make it a wonderful "support oil" to be used with the various Eucalyptus oils, tea tree and manuka.

Lavender CO2
Lavandula angustifolia, Grown in Bulgaria, CO2 extracted in Germany
The process of CO2 extraction gives an oil closer aromatically to the fresh blossom than any steam distilled oil will match. When ordering our last batch of CO2's I requested a sample of the producer's Lavender Select extraction. And I fell in love. I have no idea what the therapeutic qualities of this Lavender Oil will be, and we are not replacing the various lavenders used in our therapeutic blends. But...if you want to scent your room, your linens, yourself with an absolutely beautiful, fresh floral lavender oil, this is the one for you. We only have one kilogram, so order while supplies last. This CO2 extraction is truly an exquisite aromatic! 5 ml only

Lavender Mailette
Lavendula angustifolia, Organic Certified, France Aromatically, this is my favorite lavender. It has the most delightful velvety aroma. John Steele calls Mailette "the purple cloud" and after experiencing this new Mailette I can understand why. If velvet had a scent, this would be it. For emotional use, for the aromalamp, when you want a sweet floral aroma, this specimen is exquisite. When our High Altitude Lavender is not available, this is the lavender we choose for our skincare and baby care products. It is used in our Lavender Silk lotion, our Baby Bottom Balm, and almost all of our problem skincare products.

Lemon Ironbark-Euc. Staigeriana
Eucalyptus Staigeriana Ethically farmed, steam distilled from leaves in Australia 15 mls This is the sweetest "lemony" oil we have ever experienced! I thought of Lemon Ade, Christi thought of Lemon Jelly Beans. As sweet as candy. (I'm told that at one time in Australia it was used to flavor "lemon cordial," an Australian version of our Lemonade. I can well believe it. I am told that it has antibacterial properties, although not as powerfully antbacterial as Tea Tree or Lemon Myrtle. I can see it shining as a sunshiny mood elevator. We fell in love and had to have some! Having fallen in love, I had to research it. Unlike the Eucalyptus oils chosen for their respiratory effects, high in 1.8 cineole, Lemon Ironbark oil is composed of geranial, methyl geranate, geranyl acetate, limonene, phellandrene, neral, terpinolene and geraniol. It may be a skin irritant, so I would prefer to use it in the diffuser. If using topically, please use in very low dilution. I have seen it recommended as a sedative and a calming stress reliever. In the winter it would be useful in the diffuser because it is said to be both anti-viral and anti-infectious. If the more commonly recommended anti-viral and anti-bacterial oils are too medicinal for your taste, add a bit of Lemon Ironbark to your germkilling blend and bring in a touch of aromatic sunshine. Blends well with: Cedarwood, Lemon, Lavender, Marjoram, Pine, Rosemary, and Thyme.
