Oils List P - R Nature's Gift

A product of a sweet smelling tropical grass, Palma Rosa smells like a blend of Rose and Geranium Oil. I have seen it offered as "Rose Geranium" so check the Latin name on any Rose Geranium you buy, it may well be Palma Rosa.

Palma Rosa is very effective in blends for treating various skin conditions as it helps balance production of sebum, thus being useful for both extremely dry and oily skin.

A strongly anti-infectious oil, as well as being antifungal, Palma Rosa may be useful in treating a range of skin infections. I like to add it to any anti-fungal blend.

It blends beautifully with geranium, emphasizes the scent of Rose in any blend, works well with lavender. Emotionally, it is said to aid in the release of anger and grief.

I have occasionally found it useful in a PMS blend.

Petitgrain-WILD

From the wilds of Madagascar comes this fresh, green fruity Petitgrain. At first whiff you know that the immature fruit did go into the still with these leaves, the way it is supposed to but so seldom does. I've never been a Petitgrain fan. Love the flower oil, love the orange oil from the fruit, but the leaf oil has always been a 'ho hum' oil to my nose. This sparkling specimen converted me. It arrived for our end of winter special, because I think it will lighten winter weary spirits, and, for me at least, it smells like a breath of Spring.

Years ago, at a conference, I smelled a sample of Plai Oil, and loathed it, so, for years, we've not offered it. I keep reading research studies showing what a gentle and powerful pain reliever it is, and finally found a sample that was a bit more pleasing. (I realized that, since it is a relative of Ginger, the aromatic difference between distilling the dried root and the fresh root is...amazing!)

We only bought a little, to see whether you all appreciate it.

This new and relatively unknown oil from high in the Himalayas is known for it's grounding and centering effects. A wonderful addition to any meditation blend or to create a sacred space for worship or ritual.

I think it would be useful to counter anxiety. I'm told that it can help quiet mental "chatter"...I'm planning on adding a drop to my AromaStone on the nights that my 'to do list' insists on scrolling all night long.

As a respiratory oil, Rhododendron is helpful in "drying up" a running nose...it is said to reduce mucous production as well as aid in inflammation and swelling in the sinus area.

I have seen it recommended for Rheumatoid Arthritis, especially when blended with Frankincense, to reduce inflammation in muscles and joints. I've also seen it recommended in treating gout. I have also seen it recommended for support of the adrenals and of the liver.

This is an exciting new oil with a wide range of positive effects. We look forward to hearing your experiences with it.

Because it is so new and there are few tests I've been able to find we would suggest avoiding during pregnancy or with small children.

Rosa Alba (White Rose)

White Rose (Rosa Alba) Certified Organic, Bulgarian. Produced by CO2 extraction. We have found that this thick CO2 extract requires gentle warming to dilute. It will easily dilute in our organic Jojoba oil, we do not recommend dilution in our usual favorite diluent, Fractionated Coconut Oil. We found it much more difficult to dissolve in the Frac. Coconut. It blends beautifully in gently warmed Jojoba OIl.

Rosa Alba 10% (White Rose)

Organic Bulgarian White Rose CO2 extract, diluted in our Organic Jojoba Oil. Skin safe and ready to wear, although you may prefer to further dilute.
