After years of searching, I finally found a Bergaptine Free Bergamot
Oil that smells delightful.
Now, for therapeutic use and in the
lamp or
diffuser, I still want our organic, natural Bergamot described above. But natural Cold Pressed Bergamot
Oil is NOT a safe oil to use on skin that will be exposed to either sunlight or ultraviolet light, and should not be used for perfumes or massage blends that might cause sun damage.
This delightful Sicilian Bergamot Oil has had the Bergaptine removed so that it IS safe for your perfumes or massage blends. No, it's not a "pure and natural" oil, it has been adjusted for your safety. The producer has also decolorized it. The resulting oil has a mere tint of green to it, but not the richer green of our Pure and Natural Bergamot above. This is the Bergamot you want for use in skincare, toiletries, etc.
WARNING: SAFE for Sun and UV light Exposure.

Blends featuring Bergamot Essential Oil:
Classic Eau de Cologne
3 drops lavender essential oil.
2 drops rosemary essential oil.
1-2 drops bergamot FCF essential oil.
One of Elizabeth Millar's "Romance" blends:
2 drops Bergamot Oil
2 drops Jasmine Grandiflora Absolute
2 drops Rose Absolute or Rose Otto
2 drops Ylangylang Oil
The Bergamot Oil lightens the 'sultriness' of the
exotic florals in this one. NICE!
Anger Reducing Blend:
Roman Chamomile Essential Oil(3 drops)
Rose Absolute (2 drops)
Bergamot Essential Oil (5 drops)
either blend and add to a spoonful of honey for a bath, use
in the aroma lamp or diffuser, or dilute in one ounce of carrier oil
for a soothing massage blend.
Smoke Eater Blend:
To freshen the air in a room, and remove stale smoke, blend equal
parts of Bergamot Oil, Lemon Oil, and Himalayan Lavender oil.
Use in aromalamp for best effect.
Chypre:
The classic chypre perfumery accord is composed of Bergamot Oil,
Oakmoss Absolute, and either Cistus Oil or Labdanum Absolute.
