Nature's Gift Carrot Seed Hydrosol

All hydrosols are packaged in a 4oz cobalt blue bottle, with an atomizer spray top as well as a one ounce "Trial Size".

Please remember to store your precious hydrosols under refrigeration. True, natural hydrosol contain no preservatives so should be treated as perishable. We store them under refrigeration, and do our best to maintain sterility while rebottling, however if you plan on using any of these healing waters internally, we suggest you pasteurize them before use. Filtering through a fine filter (a coffee filter works beautifully) and slowly heating just to a very slow boil should insure sterility without damaging the healing elements.

Carrot Seed Hydrosol Daucus carota, Canada - Organically distilled from the seed of the Wild Carrot. Carrot Seed Hydrosol is the hydrosol of choice for aging skin. Carrot seed EO is recommended for treating wrinkles, scar tissue, etc., so it stands to reason that the hydrosol would be recommended for the same uses. Carrot seed hydrosol makes a wonderful toner or gentle cleanser for mature skin. It is a great base for a homemade face cream. This Carrot Seed hydrosol is very different aromatically from the Carrot Hydrosol we offered a few years ago. The earlier specimen was very sweet and fruity, reminiscent of cooked carrots. After experiencing this newer batch I strongly suspect that what we offered earlier was distilled from the carrot root, not the seed. This hydrosol is unmistakeably from the seeds, it has the crisp aroma of a seed oil.  I believe *this* is the carrot seed that is written of below. Suzanne Catty recommends it's cellular regenerative powers for healing razor burn, abrasions, dermabrasion, etc. Jeanne Rose writes that it is anti-inflammatory and soothing to irritated, itchy dry skin, as well as for calming eczema and psoriasis. Used internally, it is believed to cleanse and support the liver and gall bladder. I'm wondering if it might not aid irritable bowel syndrome.
