Please remember to store your precious hydrosols under refrigeration. True, natural hydrosol contain no preservatives so should be treated as perishable. We store them under refrigeration, and do our best to maintain sterility while rebottling, however if you plan on using any of these healing waters internally, we suggest you pasteurize them before use. Filtering through a fine filter (a coffee filter works beautifully) and slowly heating just to a very slow boil should insure sterility without damaging the healing elements.

Organically grown and distilled, this sweetly scented floral water from a uniquely American artemesia species is a powerful anti-inflammatory, and a delight for both the skin and the spirits.  The essential oil is very high in esters, which carry over into the hydrosol during the distillation process.

Jeanne Rose states that this new hydrosol is a wonderful substitute for Roman Chamomile, and is both soothing and mildly sedating.  She suggests that Owyhee Hydrosol has powerful uses for skin care and in custom body care products.  There are applications in skin care for healing inflamed skin, as a soothing facial spray, and that it is great as a fragrant mister on bed linens for scent and sleep.
